Cyclist Paul’s Varsity Oxford
Last few years had belt drive bikes, because the high mileage I do, better on maintenance.
Decided try the Varsity, bit cheaper. Good communication from Quella.
Arrived, more than pedals to be attached, front wheel, handlebar also.
Please note you need to check the tyre pressure, mine only had 30 psi when it came.
Looks great,
Not a good maiden voyage left pedal unscrewed, only did 30 miles, bother.
Contacted the helpful Jess and a new crank delivered. Mu local Halfords fitted with new resin pedals.
Out again 25/06/25, much better ride, difficult to get used to no back pedal, first bike in forty years, need to get used to.
Handles quite well, used to Shimano Nexus 8, again need to get used to.
First gear on a steep climb is sometimes challenging.
Did 78 miles, saddle comfortable, very pleased, lost left rack bolt, but as we all know cycling is bumpy, potholes abound, always challenging.
Let’s hope for many years of good exercise and keeping fit and economical maintenance.

I’m an Audax rider, average 16k/yr and have several bikes. Road, Gravel & MTB.. So N+1 with Quella.
Website good, question on colour/shade, solved by Jess. Got a few extras and all delivered quickly.
Boxed & protected very well, opened in perfect condition and colour exceptional in sun. Practising on single speed was welcomed, only done four 50-60k rides and noticed every incline! Obviously picked a great bike by all the compliments. I’m truly impressed with quality and fair price of my first fixie.

Exceeded expectations!
Been thinking about getting the black nero as a commuter for a while as I was fed up of gears letting me down on my mtb, the only thing that was holding me back was my route is quite hilly. Took the plunge and wish I did it sooner! Not only is the nero a lovely looking bike it's took 6 minutes off my commute time and the hills are a great workout and much easier than what I thought they would be. Absolutely in love with the bike 100% recommend if your thinking about getting one.
