The 'Commuter' Nero bikes are equipped with a Shimano 7-speed in-hub gear system, offering more versatility for city and country riding. The in-hub system provides smooth transitions between gears, allowing you to easily handle different terrains and inclines.
The in-built gearing system avoids the 'day to day' build-up of grit and grime as experienced in standard derailleur systems and therefore much lower maintenance requirements.
The Commuter range comes with riser handlebars and a comfy saddle. We also know everyone has different riding positions so we have included an adjustable stem on all our Commuter ranges so you can amend your riding position to suit your preference.
The Commuter bikes all come with a colour co-ordinated rear rack allowing you to utilise a pannier bag and keeping your back less seats from the use of rucksack.
Our Commuters all come with detachable mudguards as standard keeping you dry from the inclement weather. with a simple trigger that allows you to remove the guards in the summer months.
All our commuters come with puncture resistant 32C tyres providing you with greater protection from road debris. As they are also wider than our standard 25C tyres they provide improved grip and more stable acceleration capabilities on dry surfaces. Additionally, they can also provide an enhanced driving experience in very specific situations, including in challenging winter weather road conditions.
All Neros are built around a highly durable diamond-form frame with our signature Deep-V wheelset. The strong but pliable high tensile steel frame is able to absorb the bumps and lumps of our city roads making for a comfortable ride and the simple componentry is virtually maintenance free save for a wash and a spot of oil from time to time.
